Play a Hand w/ Me (PAHWM) 2/5 Charles Town

Not as deep this hand but still nearly 300BB deep.  Here's the link to 2p2 post and details are below (click to enlarge)

Weird Turn spot-PAHWM

I think Villain's range here is still pretty wide.  I don't think he is good enough to raise KQ, KJ, QJ of spades in this spot.  I think he has a lot of Aces in his range with the occasional 2 pairs A5, A7, 57, T7, etc.  Given the preflop limp and flop call I don't give much  weight to AT.  i guess he could have 55 or 77 but think AA and TT are pretty unlikely as well.

If we are calling or raising turn what is plan for river?

my standard here is to call the turn raise, then check call a blank river. i am also check calling if i hit my flush on the river for two reasons: 1) he won't call a check raise on the river -- or will shove against my check raise with a better flush.
2) if he is getting bluffy, it will allow him to continue to bluff the river whereas he will fold if i lead the river

You have a monster on the turn against a spewy lagtard. I 3b him to 350 or so and bomb most rivers.... half pot river should be about right w bad ribs being a paired ace.

So I did 3b to 350 on turn...not sure I love it away from table. He begrudgingly called. On a brick river I sort of made a merged bet of $380. I am not really sure if I am bluffing or value betting here. I don't think he folds many 2 pair hands as all but 57 beat me...he may fold T7s. And he may call AJ-AQ...river is a really weird spot after he flats my 3b

So what did he have or did he fold the river?

He had AT which given the pre-flop and flop action I really didn't think was much a part of his range.Like I said I thought my river bet was basically a merge and obviously I was right.

Given description, I'm surprised to see him with at as well... limp/call does not seem likely. In retrospect, im thinking about the river lead - what is he calling worse? I'm c/coming rather than firing... does anything change if river is a ten? I assume river was a brick, right?

@PM Well I think river is certainly close when he r/c turn. In these spots my default is almost always to bet unless the opponent is very good (not a lot of 2/5 players IMO).

I mentioned that my hand range is merged. Original discussion of merging here by the legendary AEjones: http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=10167797&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1

Weird spot where I think I do get some better to fold T7...maybe A5 and I def get value out of players who love to bluffcatch AQ, AJ even AK and maybe 57.

I am clearly b/f here though. If river is T it is probably a puke b/f too as I eliminate 55 and 77 on turn when he just flats...if it's a 5 I probably VB a bit bigger like 525-550.

I don't love to c/c a lot on the river since I think most 2/5 players are so passive in big pots on the river.
